I was once a youth

Youth, at times, is the shuffling feet of a girl, her whimpers and cries, her endless complaint. It’s a boy’s fistfight and black eyes in the classroom one moment and then his unequivocal friendship the next. It’s scrawls and chalkmarks on the walls the crude writing and drawing on the board, an eager ear to catch the word.

Youth is the first dance you had, the first stealthy date, the first nervous kiss. It’s passion burning like fire. It’s holding hands in semi-private room and talking with your eyes, because mere words have miserably failed. It’s tossing in bed, remembering stolen scenes and sleepless nights. It’s the first reluctant parting between young lovers. It’s possessiveness and jealousy and pretty quarrels.

Youth is the ever-questioning boy, who has not yet caught the meaning of the world, who confused by the intricate pattern of life. It’s a boy rubbing his eyes, raising his voice to ask: what beyond the mountain, the moon, the sun and the stars? God could not be made a sufficient answer, because who made God then? And you ask him to be quiet. Youth then, is curiosity and sober thoughts. It’s a child hungering for knowledge, because it has not yet acquired any yet. All this is partly youth.

Youth is a child at play. It’s rich laughter in the rain and vigorous running in the sunlight. It’s also a child’s broken ankle or a lost coin. It’s candies an rubber bands and other little thing in the child’s dirty face. Youth, then, is a boy or girl laughing and crying on the face of the earth. It’s bicycle and bus rides and movies and hitchhiking and reckless, aimless wanderings. It’s a robust boy drinking the sweet water of this earth, hugging the with the sweetness of life, lamenting nothing, because life for youth is more laughter, while heartaches and real sorrows and responsibilities belong to another age, another time, another season. That is youth, partly youth. But then, youth is more than that.

Being a STUDENT

A great gift that my parents has given me, this is the way to learn to be a professional someday which most people want to achieve with. I’ve been a student for almost 14 years.

There are for thing I life that I really want to achieve

1^st – to be regular always

2^nd – to have my capping (which I already accomplished)

3^rd – to graduate on the right time

4^th – to have license (take the board exam once)

As of now, I would still continue striving to pass all the subjects I have and bring the best out of it.

Fruit of Sacrifice

I've been looking for the perfect fit for my career, I’ve been looking for something that I could be boast off someday. Accomplishing the greatest achievements that I could give to my parents in exchange for the sacrifices that they had for me and for us, ensuring that we had a good future to face.

I’ve been wishing, hoping to take pharmacist, this is when I’ve heard some of the school in Davao which is the University of Immaculate Conception, I took the entrance exam as well as the scholarship exam and guess what happen I’ve passed both of exam, and I was so happy at that moment but, I guess this is just a kind of dream that I couldn’t take with. My sister, my older sister took up NURSING at Capitol University and shift to another course which is the HRM. I was so confused that time, I knew in my heart that my parents don’t like much what I’m wishing for specially my mama, even if they didn’t talk with me verbally that they don’t like it since its far and I don’t have any companion at all. So I took up Nursing, take the risk and sacrifice. I continue those books, uniforms and some staff that my sister had. Taking all the responsibilities that she had left.

But out of that instance here I ‘am now still striving to pass all the subjects I have and I’m on the 3^rd year level still regular and I’m proud of that, all through the sacrifices that I go through, it has been a great pleasure and feeling of fulfillment that I’m still here continuing my studies and I’ve learned what my parents feelings before that they didn’t like much with my decision I knew that this is now my incoming future, to serve, to be with and to care people, especially my family and this is the fruit of my sacrifice.

This day was so great for us who join the first reunion in our batch foreveramos batch 2007-2008(First Fruits Christian Academy), at Kate's farm in DVR Resort in Valencia city, the place was kinda fit with us since we were about more or less 16 who attended out of 33 classmates but this is not a hindrance for us that not everybody join but we are still happy having the bonding even others are not around.At that moment we were so happy making fun with everything.. taking pictures which we had so much fun, fishing, touring with the place were the some of the beds were kinda fit with us... OUR FOODS was OK, we were able to eat much than our usual amount of foods we take....Our boys had a swimming first, they were so happy teasing themselves with there outfits, some of the cellphones were wet since one my classmates cellphones was in the Jacuzzi then one of the boys jump in their without knowing the cellphones were there, but out of that instance the best way we can do is laugh about it and make some funny jokes about what happen... all through this event, we are so much thankful to kate since she plan about this reunion and also the place and its free including the transportation from the city to their farm...... FUN.....FUN.. FUN... :)

“do I found you?”

Who can say “I have found the perfect man for me?” not even a single soul in this world is perfect, but a woman can desire to have a perfect man. Like most women in this world who is longing for a perfect man, yet fails to find one. It is not wrong dreaming for a perfect man, though you can never find one, but always bare in mind that there is a right man for you, though not perfect but could perfectly love you on the right time. Whom God perfectly made for you. You just don’t know when he’ll come but he’s just silently waiting for you to lend him your hand…. Yes, there are woman who can say that they are lucky, that they had the perfect man they desire to have whom you also desire to be with… but…still you can never be perfectly happy… (hehehehehe)….

Look around you you’ll never know who that right man could be, till the right time comes. Learn to wait he might come when you just don’t know…. And you could boastfully say “ I HAVE FOUND THE RIGHT MAN FOR ME…..

Electronic Health Record has a great contribution to any hospital some of those advantage were the: reduction of cost, improve quality of care, Promote evidence-based medicine, and Record keeping and mobility. Electronic Health Record provide access to unprecedented amounts of clinical data for research that can accelerate the level of knowledge of effective medical practices. These benefits may be realized in a realistic sense only if the EHR systems are interoperable and wide spread so that various systems can easily share information. Also, to avoid failures that can cause injury to the patient and violations to privacy. It also has a advantage of being able to connect to many electronic medical record systems. Despite the advantages of Electronic Health Record it also has a disadvantage specially in the start of implementing this technology it requires a large cost at the beginning, but all though this Electronic Health Record plays an important role in a hospital in terms of Improving care coordination, Reducing healthcare disparities, Engaging patients and their families, Improve population and public health, Ensuring adequate privacy and security.

Whatever the use of Electronic Health Record either it has a advantage or disadvantage, still i plays a fruitful contribution in hospital setting, simply we just use it according its designed method or the purpose for it.

Role of Technology in Medication Process

Nowadays some of the hospitals, not just here in the Philippines nor in the other country, medication errors are common and often occur during order transcription or administration of medication. To prevent such errors technology has been developed to verify medications by incorporating bar-code verification technology within an electronic medication-administration system. The role of Technology in Medication Process has a great contribution in terms of ensuring the accuracy of giving medication or even some of the information that a patient may need to know. The role of Technology in Medication Process were:

- improving care coordination
- reducing healthcare disparities
- engaging patients and their families
- improve population and public health
- ensuring adequate privacy and security

With the specific role of technology in medication process it contribute a lot in terms in ensuring the accuracy in giving medication to the patient with no harm at all, since nowadays errors in giving medication or even through blood transfusion is considered a rampant situation that a hospital may do or may experience.

Nursing Informatics

Nursing Informatics a term defined a specialty that integrates nursing science, computer science and information science to manage and communicate data, information and knowledge in nursing practice. Nursing informatics is task to facilitates the integration of data, information, and knowledge to support patient's, nurses, and other providers in their decision making in all roles and setting.

Just like other fields , the nursing profession is turning towards using computers for many areas of their daily tasks . These areas include documentation , building an information database , and communication between shifts , departments , and even facilities. Therefore , any use of information technologies by nurses in relation to the care of their patients , the administration of health care facilities , or the educational preparation of individuals to practice the discipline is considered nursing informatics. Nursing informatics nowadays plays an important role in the hospital area by ensuring the quality of care given to the patient, the intervention that they may plan and any needs of the patient to increase clients satisfaction which is one of the goal of a nurse in dealing with their patient. As what the Nursing Informatics gives help in caring patient for instance, whether it is patient data or information about medicines that is required by a nurse at any given time , the help that information technology can provide in accessing required information ,cannot be discounted . No longer does the nurse have to flip through ``book after book ' to find needed information at a time of emergency. Some of the important quality of a Nursing Informatics were it has a complete and accurate patient data, more easily archived , standardized and customized reporting, legible, more accurate patient data, less chance of error. Despite all the good quality of Nursing Informatics it also has a disadvantage like, increased costs to startup, maintain, train, and upgrade, computer literacy required-fear of computers and Confidentiality, privacy and security difficult to guarantee. But all though the advantages an disadvantages Nursing Informatics has a great help in Nursing Field in any aspects in dealing with the care of the patient and ensuring the good quality of care that they need, providing and ensuring that the patient will experience a satisfaction which is considered as one of the goal in care.
